Healing from Mistreatments ​Workbook

“Blessed are you when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake.” Matthew 5:11

“Jesus came to heal the broken hearted and set the captives free.” Luke 4:18

If your heart is aching and broken from being mistreated Jesus wants you to know He came to heal your heart. The Lord Jesus is your Healer and He has promised He will heal you if you will release the pain and receive His healing.

If you have never talked about the pain you felt when you were mistreated, the pain can remain hidden deep inside your heart for many, many years. Emotional pain from being mistreated is toxic to every part of your body. This can be from emotional, physical or sexual mistreatment. Emotional pain is like cancer; it’s a silent killer.

Do not suffer silently any longer. Ask for help! Jesus hears us when we call out to Him. In Psalm 55:4 David described the incredible pain he felt in his heart after a close friend mistreated him and he cried out for help.

“My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.” Psalms 55:4
